About THE OHIO COUNTY FOOD SECURITY TEAM

The Ohio County Food Security Team, chaired by FRN executive director Claudia Raymer, is comprised of 14 organizations focused on improving food access for Ohio County residents. The team meets biweekly to discuss everything from mobile food pantries and the Ohio County Schools' Backpack Program to Blessings Boxes and food insecurity among children and seniors.


Members from the following organizations comprise the Ohio County Food Security Team:

continuum of care

FRN executive director Claudia Raymer is a member of the Northern Panhandle Continuum of Care, a grassroots partnership of social service providers in Brooke, Hancock, Ohio, Marshall, and Wetzel Counties. This organization works to streamline services, identify service gaps, address the needs of people experiencing homelessness.

foster care closet

The Ohio County Family Resource Network oversees the Ohio County Foster Closet located at the WV DHHR. Foster parents can access the closet through their caseworker. 


Wishlist and donation items accepted include:

  • Lotion
  • Deodorant
  • Laundry detergent
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Facewash
  • Soap
  • Toothpaste
